Behaviour Modification

For dogs showing challenging or unwanted behaviours, these sessions offer practical, evidence-based guidance to help you understand and improve your dog’s behaviour in a kind and effective way.

I will work with you and your dog to observe what may be driving their behaviour and create a tailored behaviour support plan to guide our training together. This includes hands-on coaching to demonstrate techniques, build your confidence, and help your dog learn in a calm and positive way.

These sessions are suitable for mild to moderate behavioural challenges such as lead reactivity, overexcitement, frustration, or separation-related issues. If your dog’s behaviour appears to be more complex or severe, I will advise on referral to or in collaboration with a Clinical Animal Behaviourist for additional support.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Canine Clinical Behaviour and I am a Student Member of the TCBTS working towards a full membership, and operating in line with ABTC ethics and professional standards.

How it works

  1. Free initial call - A short 15 minute phone or video call to discuss your concerns, ensure the case is within my remit, and explain how the process works.

  2. Questionnaire - Once you decide to go ahead, you will receive a detailed form to complete. This helps me understand your dog’s background and behaviour before we meet.

  3. Initial consultation (90 minutes) - In-person assessment and practical session where we begin hands-on work tailored to your dog’s needs.

  4. Behaviour support plan - You will receive a written plan summarising the session, including training and management strategies to continue at home.

  5. Follow-up session (optional) - A one-hour session to implement the training plan, review progress, and adjust the plan as needed.
