🐾 Training Agreement & Terms – Version January 2026.
Trainer: Isaac Garner at Beano’s Canine Academy.
By booking or attending any session or service with Beano’s Canine Academy, you agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined below.
1. Training Philosophy
All training delivered by Beano’s Canine Academy is based on positive reinforcement, clear communication, and trust. The goal is to help dogs and owners build strong, cooperative relationships through understanding and consistency.
Aversive tools or punishment-based methods are not used or endorsed. All services are delivered within the trainer’s professional scope and do not replace veterinary or clinical behavioural care where this is required.
2. Services Offered
The service provided will depend on the booking made and the suitability of the dog’s needs, as outlined below.
a. Behaviour Support Sessions
Welfare-led behaviour support sessions designed to help owners understand and support dogs displaying behaviours associated with fear, anxiety, frustration, or stress. Work focuses on management strategies, learning-based behaviour change, and improving emotional wellbeing within the trainer’s professional scope. These sessions do not involve diagnosis or treatment of medical or clinical behavioural conditions and are not a substitute for veterinary or clinical behavioural intervention where this is required.
• Owner participation is required to ensure understanding and consistency.
• Severe behavioural problems may require referral to a certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist, in line with Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) guidance.
b. 1:1 Training Walks
Structured walks with the trainer focused on improving lead manners, recall, confidence, and engagement.
• Conducted by Isaac Garner with your dog. These walks are solely with the dog and trainer; owner attendance is not incorporated. Owners who wish to be directly involved in learning training techniques are encouraged to book a 1:1 training or behaviour support session, depending on suitability. If behaviour-related concerns (e.g. fear, reactivity, distress) are identified during training walks, the trainer may recommend transitioning to behaviour support sessions.
• Although sessions are booked for 60 minutes, the active training portion will generally last around 45 minutes to allow time for arrival, greetings, and settling the dog.
• Clients should ensure the dog has had an appropriate amount of exercise prior to the session to help maintain engagement.
• Designed to reinforce training in real-world settings and promote calm, confident behaviour.
• Walks may include basic obedience reinforcement, impulse control, and confidence-building work.
c. Puppy Packages
A structured series of sessions designed to help puppies grow into confident, well-mannered companions. Puppy packages are intended for general development and early learning. Where puppies display significant fear, distress, or behaviour concerns beyond early development, additional behaviour support or referral may be recommended.
• Covers early training, socialisation, and confidence-building.
• Includes support for owners in developing positive training routines.
d. Training Services
Training services are focused on teaching practical skills and supporting everyday manners in dogs who are otherwise comfortable, confident, and not displaying significant emotional distress. These sessions run in the dog’s familiar environment, with ongoing owner involvement and engagement required to continue training between sessions.
Training may include support with:
Loose lead walking
Recall
Calm greetings
Training sessions focus on skill-building and reinforcement of basic learned behaviours and do not involve diagnosis or treatment of behavioural or medical conditions.
• Training services are not suitable for dogs displaying significant fear, anxiety, reactivity, or aggression without prior discussion.
• If behaviour-related concerns (such as fear, distress, or reactivity) are identified during training sessions, the trainer may recommend transitioning to behaviour support services or referral to another professional where appropriate.
• Training is delivered using reward-based, welfare-led methods in line with the trainer’s professional scope.
e. Wedding Chaperone Services
Beano’s Canine Academy offers professional, welfare-focused dog chaperone services for weddings, ensuring your dog is cared for, calm, and appropriately included in your special day.
• A one-hour pre-wedding suitability meet and walk (£40) is required so your dog can get to know the trainer and build trust. This includes approximately 45 minutes of active time with your dog and 15 minutes discussing arrangements with you.
- The meeting takes place at your home and follows standard travel fee policies.
- This fee is redeemable against the wedding chaperone package if the booking is confirmed but is otherwise non-refundable.
- If you have more than one dog, please contact Beano’s Canine Academy before booking to discuss suitability and pricing.
• Travel within 15 miles of Cromer is included. A mileage fee of £0.45 per mile (round trip) applies beyond this distance, with a maximum travel limit of one hour each way.
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking date. This deposit reflects the diary space reserved, pre-event planning, and administrative time associated with your booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than two weeks before the event.
- If Beano’s Canine Academy cancels the service for any reason, the deposit and any other payments will be refunded in full.
- If the client cancels, the deposit will not be refunded under any circumstance, regardless of notice period.
- Cancellations made less than two weeks before the event will result in the full balance being due.
• Optional pre-wedding training sessions are available to help your dog prepare for the day (e.g. calm walking, waiting for photos, polite greetings). These are charged at £45 per hour for basic preparation, or at the behaviour support rate of £55 per hour if more complex needs are identified.
• Please note that behaviour support or intensive training is not included within the chaperone package and must be booked separately following suitability assessment.
• On the wedding day, dogs will only be present for the agreed duration of care (3 or 6 hours). The 6-hour package may extend into the evening portion of the event only by prior agreement and where the dog’s welfare allows. Beano’s Canine Academy reserves the right to remove the dog from the venue if conditions become unsuitable (e.g. excessive noise, stress, or safety concerns).
• In the event of an emergency on the day (e.g. illness, injury, extreme weather, or welfare concern), Beano’s Canine Academy will act in the dog’s best interest. This may include adjusting or terminating the service early and, if necessary, seeking veterinary assistance. Where veterinary care is required, decisions regarding diagnosis and treatment will be made by the attending veterinary professional. The trainer will act in accordance with veterinary advice where possible. Refunds or partial refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis where appropriate.
• Beano’s Canine Academy proudly provides an inclusive service and welcomes all couples, including LGBTQ+ clients. Everyone is treated with respect, care, and professionalism - paws and all.
f. Group Classes
Small group sessions (e.g. puppy or foundation training) focused on essential skills, confidence, and socialisation in a controlled, supportive environment. Group classes are not suitable for dogs displaying significant fear, reactivity, or aggression without prior discussion.
• Class structures, locations, and themes will be communicated prior to booking.

Incident Reporting:
If a dog causes injury to a person or another animal, or displays behaviour that raises significant welfare or safety concerns, the trainer reserves the right to report the incident to the relevant authorities or veterinary professionals as required by law. Such reports will only include information necessary to ensure safety and compliance with legal obligations. This may include liaising with the client’s veterinary practice where appropriate.
Emergency Care:
In the event of an accident, illness, or emergency while the dog is in the trainer’s care, the trainer will take all reasonable steps to contact the owner as soon as possible.
